We got a good start around 8am today after breaking camp. The route was very hilly in the morning, with steep, rolling hills one after another. We took a break for breakfast at the Whiffletree Cafe in Butler, the went on through Ankenytown, Fredericktown, Sparta, Kilbourne, and Delaware. The route flattened out a good bit after Sparta, and we had an easy, fast cruise into Delaware.
We found a good spot for lunch at the Chelly Belly cafe. As we strolled through town, we came across a Sherwin-Williams store, so we stopped in to say hi. The Assistant Manager Jason Mulholland was expecting us. We snapped a quick photo and let him get back to business.
Thanks to the guys at Breakaway Cycling and Fitness for letting us fill our water bottles, and giving us good directions for the last part of today’s trip to Powell.
In Powell, we were treated to a home-cooked meal by our friends Bonnie and Tom, along with their boys Andrew and Ethan, and their cat Finney.
