Press Release: Miles 4 Melanoma Pan-American Ride Announces New Sponsors

For Immediate Release – August 6, 2008

Cleveland, OH – The Miles 4 Melanoma Pan-American Ride is a bicycle tour from Cleveland, Ohio to Ushuaia, Argentina being planned by Ray Query and Kevin Madzia, who are currently employed by the Century Cycles bicycle shops located in Northeast Ohio.

The two will depart Cleveland on August 24, 2008, and hope to reach the southern tip of South America by the end of April 2009. Kevin and Ray are doing the two-continent journey to raise awareness of melanoma, the most deadly form of skin cancer, and hope to raise $20,000 for The Melanoma Research Foundation.

The Miles 4 Melanoma team is pleased to announce the addition of several new corporate sponsors to the event.

First and foremost, Tri-Flow Lubricants has pledged financial support, and will also be providing the team with products and clothing for use during the trip. Tri-Flow Lubricants is based in Cleveland, and manufactures high-quality lubricants and cleaning products for bicycles, power sports equipment, and precision machinery.

“We use Tri-Flow by the bucketful in the bike shop,” Ray noted, “so it goes without saying that we would have been using it during our trip one way or another. The fact that Tri-Flow is providing their products to us is icing on the cake, plus their support is very generous and a huge help.”

Kevin and Ray will also visit Tri-Flow facilities located in various cities through North, Central, and South America. More information about Tri-Flow Lubricants can be found at their web site: www.triflowlubricants.com

The Miles 4 Melanoma Pan-American Ride has partnered with Walk+Roll for a send-off celebration on August 24. The Aug. 24 event will be held from 11:00am to 6:00pm in Rockefeller Park on Cleveland’s east side, where Martin Luther King Blvd. will be closed to vehicle traffic so that attendees can enjoy all of the family-friendly activies available at the event.

Ray Query and Kevin Madzia plan to arrive at Walk+Roll Cleveland at 12:00noon, and depart at 1:00pm. They will be available to answer questions at the Tri-Flow Tent, where Tri-Flow staff will also be on hand with product samples. Any cyclists wishing to accompany Ray and Kevin on the first leg of their ride can do so as the two make their way from Rockefeller Park to the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail.
