I didn't realize Ray came home too. Welcome back! Well, all I can say is that I am STILL very impressed with what you guys accomplished. Some of us can't even ride 30 miles without having a heart attack :) and you got to ride through a major hurricane, i'm jealous! Just amazing. And all for a good cause.

WOW the weather must be tough! In Ohio we had winds 80mph. It would have been a great tail wind but the flying tree limbs may have been tough to dodge! Glad to hear/see you are safe.
You guys rock! Congratulations on the progress thus far. I can't wait to read more.

Hi Kevin and Ray!

I'm live in Hudson, OH and read about your bicycle trip in the Plain Dealer. I'm glad to hear you're staying safe while the hurricane passes.

I look forward to monitoring your progress and reading about your experiences!

I'm glad you're raising awareness of melanoma.

'Old Cabin in Kentucky' and 'Kentucky Lake' are very cool photos. Like the 'Kevin riding' photo. Gives me a sense of how much you guys are hauling on your bikes. Which, by the way, seems light for an 8-Month long trip.

So, I was glued to the Weather Channel into the wee hours last night. Seems like some significant damage and flooding, but not AS bad as thought. The water surge was the worst part of the storm. Power could be out for weeks in areas around Houston/Galveston. It's delayed your ride by a bit, but you'll be back at it soon, I'm sure!

Keven, while killing time in De Ridder yesterday, we did ride our UN-loaded bikes around for the first time since departing. What a difference! A bike that actually keeps going for a while when you coast! -Kevin

Hey Kik/Ray - Hope you're still sitting out the bad weather. Probably not a fair test for that foul weather gear. I'm guessing by now, at least one of you must be itching for a quick spin on a light road bike. Nothing like a 40mph decent on 700X23 tires. Anyhow, congrats on the Plain Dealer and MC Herald pieces. Very nice press. And Ray, yes, their probably was some bacon fat in those beans!
